Dr. Nathan Hilbrands is a South Dakota native, proudly graduating from South Dakota State University in 2007. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa in 2013. Dr. Hilbrands and his wife, Miranda, moved to Brookings in 2013 after completing dental school. He was awarded the National Health Service Corps Scholarship prior to dental school and practiced at the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Clinic as the Chief Dental Officer for 5 years. Dr. Hilbrands is excited to be serving the people of Brookings and the surrounding communities with quality family-oriented care.

      

      Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hilbrands loves to spend time with family and friends. You will meet his wife, Miranda, as she is one of the office's three hygienists. They have three sons, Landry, Lavin and Lawson that keep them on their toes. They also have a dog, Wren, so there is never a dull moment in the Hilbrands household!  Dr. Hilbrands enjoys having season tickets for Jackrabbit football, fishing, and playing sports in his spare time. He also coaches Special Olympics basketball and softball in Brookings.
